The deer TOTEM of Oasis verde Casin’Anand

Dear friends,
Today I will tell you about our deer and his surrounding;
In the middle of our “sensory garden”, facing the “Odd factory “ I told you recently in a previous blog, stand an huge sculpture representing a deer.
It is a stunning bronze sculpture created by the very talented French sculptor Sylvie Mangaud , the deer is one of my favorite animals and now it is the TOTEM of the property.
The symbolic of this wonderful animal is rich : it goes from virtues to emotions that I feel related with like the nobility of spirit, the generosity, the prudence but also the courage, and a lot of things like the bountifulness, the cycle of growth , death and renew;
The delicacy of his shape, his simplicity filled with impressiveness make him the majestic guardian of the sensory garden: the garden of essences and tastes, filled with aromatic and medical herbs, the protector of the 12 circular beds of it.
Deer was present in this territory before the Greek civilization brought the olive tree and his intensive culture there, before Salento was an huge 3leccio “ forest inhabited by fawns and deer…and this tree gave the name to main city of the area: Lecce.
And I love all those subtle connections that shows that The Case doesn’t exist!
The deer’s gaze goes to the “Odd Factory” specifically to the entrance of “La Tienda” the shop of Casin’Anand where we expose and sell the produces of our synergetic agriculture: honey, olive oil, jams and marmalades , seeds , leaves for infusions, dried flowers…but also our mugs and bottles, t-shirts and tote bags, beach towels and sun lotions. And much more.
The inspiration of this place comes from the bazar of Maghreb : big Moroccan colored lamps and colorful rugs remind those joyful markets.
And in a corner ,behind a separation is a “British style” cozy lounge ready to welcome Woman Circle knitting, embroidering and crocheting in creative conviviality.
