March 20 – The Day of the Equinox and Spring

Dear Friends, 
Today is the day of the spring equinox, and I want to tell you about its origins, celebrations, and the devotion it has always inspired in humanity across the entire planet.
We may have forgotten it, but March 20 is a fundamental day—an energetic gateway through which the entire energy shifts!
It is the day of “Guru”: the passage from darkness to light finds its balance, as these two forces come into perfect equilibrium.
Whether in yogic, shamanic, or astrological traditions, this moment is always seen as a blessed threshold of transformation.
In yoga, it is the time when the two energies—Shakti and Bhakti, the masculine and the feminine, Earth and Sky—align in perfect harmonic balance, fostering meditation, growth, and a leap toward new achievements.
Shamans, on the other hand, see this moment as one in which the separation between the visible and invisible becomes thinner, allowing intuition to sharpen and guide us toward new beginnings.
This moment represents a “cosmic New Year.” As the Sun enters Aries, the first Fire sign of the zodiac, it ignites a renewed spark of creative energy.
For ancient civilizations, it has always been a sacred time—one of celebration, ceremonies, offerings to Mother Earth, fire rituals, and realignment with the new life cycle.
With this first day of spring, a new life cycle begins, offering us the chance to renew ourselves with fresh intentions, embracing a new beginning filled with energy. It is time to shake off the winter lethargy, welcome the new cycle with joy and openness, and dance along with it.
That is why this is the perfect time for a wonderful yoga practice, a guided meditation, or even a walking meditation through the olive grove, honoring every piece of nature we encounter—activities that make Casin’Anand vibrate with energy.
We will end the evening around the brazier, listening to the scops owl singing from a branch, and chanting Wahe Guru with our eyes turned to the stars, trying to recognize the Aries constellation—though it is easier to spot in the autumn sky, beneath Andromeda!
