A Dreamy Christmas

Casin’Anand is continuously evolving, taking shape and affirming its identity.
Experience has taught us that this place gains beauty and meaning when enjoyed in unison by its guests. For this reason, we wish to offer the possibility of privatizing it exclusively, allowing its guests to experience its thousand facets in a harmonious way.

Christmas is precisely one of these magical moments when families, friends, and loved ones can gather in the enchanting world of Casin’Anand. Here, they can enjoy the estate as a whole, making use of the cozy indoor spaces as well as the gardens, which even in this season are filled with intense charm.

We had fun decorating the large table with branches, leaves, berries, and flowers, all gathered from our gardens. Fir branches (the only outsiders) served as a fragrant base, covered with a profusion of pyracantha, mastic, false pepper, eucalyptus, and hawthorn branches, whose berries and scents created the perfect bed to display all the Christmas delicacies made with our homemade jams and honey.

Various corners of the Casina have been adorned with decorations that create surprise and smiles: two gnomes sit at the chess table playing with hawthorn berries and Christmas candles, a nativity scene rests in the periwinkle room on an ancient gold-embroidered damask, statice flowers have created a miniature Christmas tree enriched with tiny golden baubles, and on the piano appeared miniatures of deer, gnomes, and Santa Claus. In one corner, a small fir tree showcases beautiful decorations from New York, a city I often visit at Christmas, where I have collected spectacular ornaments that only that city can offer.

In the courtyard, Piazza del Tiglio, the beating heart of Casin’Anand’s “citadel,” a local Christmas tree made of prickly pear paddles stands alongside last year’s fir tree, lovingly saved and planted in a protected corner where it has thrived, now engaging in a magical exchange with the banana trees facing it—a beautiful dialogue between North and South.

This place will never cease to amaze with its biodiversity and lush vegetation!

The living room fireplace on the first floor is the protagonist of this beautiful room, ideal for gathering all guests to play by the crackling flames, relax, and enjoy the changing colors of the sky through the large windows. Here, one can flip through a book borrowed from the adjacent rich multilingual library, sip chai in the Indian-inspired lounge corner, or admire the various pieces of art adorning the space. Collect memories of a unique, dreamlike interlude filled with peace and pleasure.

Let’s not forget the joy of enjoying a journey through the splendid spa, far from the world and time, before returning in a bathrobe to the living room, passing through the dining room to assemble a tray of homemade biscuits and cakes still fragrant. Or wander through the citrus grove to retreat into the olive grove sauna, then dive into the outdoor jacuzzi to watch the sunset through the olive branches surrounding everything.

And then, have a warming grog served by the lit brazier in the garden of fire, admiring the stars before returning to the warmth of the Casina, where dinner awaits in the dining room infused with colorful lights coming from the window overlooking the courtyard. Here, you can glimpse the waterfall cascading down the rocky wall or admire the glow of the outdoor Christmas trees.

Light, love, and uniqueness—this is the motto of the Christmas that Casin’Anand offers.
